A local leisure centre will offer free classes and personal training (PT) sessions to women in Brent as part of International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8 March.
Vale Farm Sports Centre run by Everyone Active in partnership with Brent Council will host activities exclusively for women including group cycling, swim sessions and PT taster sessions (30 minutes).
All sessions are free of charge and will be available for members and non-members. Classes will be run by female instructors and all abilities are welcome.
Everyone Active’s general manager, Tiffany Johnson, said: “We’re delighted to get behind International Women’s Day. It’s a fantastic opportunity for ladies of all ages and abilities to try out a new activity or class for free and to celebrate the benefits of being active.
“At the start of the year we also introduced new ladies only classes to our timetable, all led by female instructors. These include strength and mobility, stretch, and fitness core. We want all women to feel comfortable when they visit the centre and we hope these classes will help with this.”
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Activities on the day include:
- Free group cycling class (7pm – 7:45pm)
- Ladies only swim (8pm – 9pm)
- Free PT taster sessions in our ladies only gym (30 mins)
