Are you struggling with rising prices?
Help is available during the autumn and winter to support you through the cost-of-living crisis.
Since late 2021, the UK has experienced a sharp rise in the cost of living for individuals and businesses as the cost of everyday things, including food and energy, have been racing up.
To help tackle this crisis, the council is taking action locally. From emergency support to give people the vital help they need right now, to investing in new homes and skills to open-up opportunities for residents in the future.
Cllr Muhammed Butt, Leader of Brent Council, said:
“As the cost-of-living crisis deepens and the colder months approach, even more families and businesses will find themselves needing extra support.
“After months of uncertainty and growing concern around energy prices the Government announced an ‘energy price guarantee’ meaning a typical household will now pay around £2,500 a year on their energy bills for the next two years.
“Sadly, it is not just energy prices that are rising rapidly as the cost of everyday essentials keeps going up and wages are stretched to their limits.
