Browser - Software used to locate and display Web pages. Popular ones are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Opera.

IP (Internet Protocol) - All networks connected to the internet use IP, the technical standard which allows data to be transmitted between two devices. TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is responsible for making sure messages get from one host to another and that the messages are understood.
IP address - Each device connected to the Internet will be allocated an IP address which may look something like 22.214.171.124
Web server - The host computer that generates the contents of the web page before it is sent to your computer.
