Digital Artist in Residence: invitation to tender

Brent Museum and Archives are delivering a NLHF project, Being Brent – Heritage for Health and Wellbeing.

We are looking to recruit a digital artist to create artwork that reflects and responds to the Brent Museum and Archives collection, the physical museum displays and the stories told by these objects. We envisage research forming an important part of the time spent on this residency. We can provide access to the collections at the Library at Willesden Green, and much of our collection is available on the online catalogue.

We expect to receive an external hard drive with copies of the finished artwork as part of this project.

The budget for creating the artwork over the course of 4 months is £4,000. We want to provide the artist with the freedom to use the budget and time as they wish.

The call is open to emerging artists and recent graduates who live in Brent.

  • current CV or portfolio
  • examples of previous work
  • an outline of how you would approach the different elements of the brief
  • an indication of the time the work might take and how funds would be spent
  • anything further you envisage needing from the Brent team.
