Wildlife competition terms and conditions

  1. The competition opens on 20/05/2019 and ends at 23:59 on 27/10/2019.
  2. To participate in this competition, entrants need to enter their details in the form on the competition page before the closing date.
  3. Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission from an adult to enter and to have their entry photos and name published.
  4. The Brent wildlife photography competition is open to all, although employees of Brent Council, agents and anyone else connected with this promotion can not be awarded any prizes.
  5. It is the entrant’s responsibility to ensure that the contact details and email address they provide upon registration and entry are valid and correct.
  6. Only correctly entered entries will be approved to take part in the competition.
  7. The winners will be selected by a judging panel consisting of a council member and two members of public.
  8. The prize for the winning adult entry is a £100 photographic voucher.
  9. The prize for the winning under 18's entry is a £50 LDO voucher. 
  10. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Brent Council reserves the right (a) to substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances to amend or foreclose the promotion without notice. No correspondence will be entered into.
  11. The winner must claim their prize within 10 working days of Brent Council sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and Brent Council reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.
  12. By entering this prize draw, all entrants consent to the use of their personal data by Brent Council for the purposes of the administration of this competition and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented.
  13. The winners agree to take part in reasonable post event publicity and to the use of their names and photographs in such publicity.
  14. Brent Council may disqualify any entrant whose entry does not comply with these terms and conditions.
