Gallery Event: Artist Networking

This is an opportunity to network with other artists and creative professionals as well as hear from previous artists who have exhibited at the gallery.

We will be joined by Camilla Churchill BA (Hons) Fine Arts,  Heritage Collections Manager who leads the Exhibition programme at Brent Museum and Archives. Camilla will share some easy to follow tips on how to write a press release and artists statement.

There will be time to ask questions and mingle with other artists and creative professionals.

Light refreshments will be served.

RSVP to nadia.nervo@brent.gov.uk by 2 October.

Willesden Gallery artists open call

Willesden Gallery are inviting applications from local visual artists to apply to take part in a Visual Art Exhibition in January 2020.

The exhibition will be themed around Identity and the Self. We are seeking artwork that celebrates and explores the characters, diversity and cultures of the Borough.

We are seeking works in any medium including painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, glass, textiles, mixed media, photography and video.

The artist call is open to all artists living and/or working in Brent. We welcome applications from BAME artists and those with additional needs.

The exhibition will run from 16 January - 2 February 2020.

Artists are invited to submit a maximum of two artworks no larger than 180cm in any dimension. There is no fee to submit work.

The selected artists will be given the opportunity to exhibit in the contemporary Gallery located within The Library at Willesden Green. The show will be installed by experienced curators. Invitations, press releases and promotional material will be produced by the gallery.

This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging and established artists to exhibit in a professional gallery.

The deadline for applications is 12am (midnight) on Sunday 20th October 2019.
