Consultation on admission arrangements for 2019/20

In accordance with the School Admissions (Admission Arrangements and Co-ordination of Admission Arrangements) (England) Regulations 2012, admission authorities located in the borough of Brent are required to consult on changes that are proposed to their admission arrangements. A consultation period must run for a minimum of six weeks and be completed by Wednesday 31 January 2018.

A consultation process allows parents, other schools, religious authorities and the local community to raise any concerns about proposed admission arrangements.  Consultees are:

  • parents of children between the ages of 2 and 18
  • other persons in the area who have an interest in the proposed arrangements
  • all other admission authorities within the local area
  • the local authority (Brent Council)
  • any adjoining neighbouring local authorities (for LA consultations only)
  • any local faith organisation (if a faith school).

This consultation applies to arrangements for admission to the 2019/20 academic year.

Admission arrangements for Brent community primary schools 2019/20

The council is not proposing changes for the admission arrangements for community primary schools for 2019/20 and therefore no consultation is being undertaken for 2019/20.
The admission arrangements for community primary schools and coordinated schemes of admission for Brent schools in 2019/20 will be determined by Cabinet and available online by 28 February 2018.
