Make sure you have your phone charged and close to you at all times and that your voicemail greetings reflect your professionalism.

If you don't answer the phone yourself, the first impression that your potential new employer will have of you is your voicemail greeting. It's up to you what you want that impression to be. Keep it simple, short (no more than 30 seconds) and professional.
