Summary

We are here to disrupt the market and change the rules of the game. Our teams are empowered to take ownership of their work, striving for personal accountability, and reward with endless opportunities to develop. Every member of our team plays an integral part of our success.

Our environment is fast-paced and dynamic. Our Paddington workspace is bright and vibrant offering more than a community of start-ups, from a sunny rooftop garden, to creative break out spaces complete with the requisite ping-pong tables.

When we bring our brand-new full fibre-optic network to London, we need permissions from property owners to install fibre-optic cables at their properties. The role of Business Development Executive will play a major part in helping to reach our goal of agreeing wayleaves for an additional 350,000 properties in London by the end of 2020. In this role, you will be targeted and incentivised to agree at least 10,000 properties under wayleave each year.

Majority of your time will be spent meeting and building relationships with London’s Landlords and their agents, explaining to them the benefits of our amazing full-fibre Broadband product and encouraging them to sign wayleave potential agreements.

When you are not meeting with Landlord’s and their agents, you will be kept busy researching your prospects and keeping records of your findings and interactions for future reference.

Person specification

  • Strong fit for our brand and organisational culture
  • Self-motivated
  • A planner & able to prioritise
  • Flexible & adaptable
  • Customer centred
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Can-do attitude

It would be advantageous:

  • If you had experience working in a partially incentivised/commission-based sales role.
  • An interest in technology and the benefits it can bring.
  • Competence in using standard office software packages.

Duties and responsibilities

Data Research - Researches information about our key prospective landlord clients, understanding the group structure, identifying the key influencers and decision makers and working out how to get into the key stakeholders.

Relationship Building - Builds relationships with key stakeholders, delivering our organisation's standard presentation in an engaging and informative way, both in front of a crowd and in meeting format, confidently fielding any questions posed by the audience.

Regular Follow-up - Regular follow up with clients, answering any questions and finding out their next steps and other stakeholders that need to be engaged for them to make a decision.

Negotiation - You will know our red lines and can confidently obtain from the client what they need commercially to sign the wayleave whilst working towards a compromise position that can work for both parties.

Please note: Priority will be given to Brent residents in the first instance. This vacancy may close before the advertised closing date if a sufficient number of suitable applications are received. Early application is therefore recommended.
