Job purpose

  • To be responsible for the smooth & efficient running of the administration of the office.
  • To undertake all aspects of accounting.
  • To assist in sales & sales administration.
  • To undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Managing Director or the Board as required.

Main duties and responsibilities

Customers

  • Assist in opening new customer accounts by doing credit checks and other searches.

  • Ensure effective customer credit control in accordance with the customers’ credit ratings.

Finance & Sales

  • Assist in general accounting and bookkeeping.
  • Ensure adequate customer and supplier credit control and payments.
  • Assist in providing all necessary financial information is provided to enable monthly and annual accounts to be properly accurately.
  • To maintain purchase ledger & ensure suppliers’ invoices entered accurately.
  • Assist in maintaining the sales ledger, cash books & day to day banking.
  • Assist in sales & sales administration to ensure the maximum sales & customer care.

Internal

  • Coordinate with other departments in achieving the smooth running of finance, sales & sales administration.

Innovative

  • Assist in providing feedback to customer queries to relevant departments
  • To contribute to & identify areas for improvement in the business
  • Assist in provision of new ideas for cost control, re-structuring, developing sales etc.
  • Introduce flexible and effective procedures for book-keeping and management accounts preparation.
