Summary

An exciting opportunity to gain hands on practical experience as n Accounts and Admin Apprentice. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in working in admin or finance, and will help you to develop a number of core customer related skills. On successful completion of your apprenticeship will obtain a Business Administration Level 2 qualification - as well as functional skills in maths, English and IT if required.

 

Job duties and responsibilities

  • Allocation of payments in accurate manner
  • Raising credit notes on request from the customers and investigation of the source of the debit request.
  • Creating approved credit notes
  • Maintaining the Delivery notes register, investigating discrepancies and invoicing the customers of the lost baskets if appropriate
  • Booking the invoices
  • Invoicing the list of Customers (A) on the weekly basis
  • Creating and sending the statement of account to Customers (A) on the monthly basis
  • Creating and sending the statement of account to the rest of the Customers on weekly basis
  • Customers / Suppliers ledgers Reconciliation
  • Preparing the Aged Receivables report
  • Preparing the Customer Court Cases with all history of attempts to collect the payments and history of all allocation of the previous Customer payments
  • Reconciliation of the Cash Account and the Cheque Deposit Account
  • Reconciliation of the Petty Cash Account
  • Collecting payments from the Customers on request
  • Support with creation and maintenance of the Assets Register
  • Support with creation and maintenance of the Stock Register
  • Ad hoc duties on the request

Skills and qualities

  • Candidate must possess IT skills, and be confident using the PC, Microsoft Office and Databases Have a smart and professional manner
  • Candidates must be confident and approachable as you will be the first point of contact at the GP practice
  • Must have an ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, common sense and local knowledge to respond to patients’ enquiries and requests
  • Organizations skills and attention to detail
  • Great interpersonal & communication skills and can confidently embed into a new team
  • Polite, enthusiastic and punctual
  • Dedicated to learning and to working complete their NVQ

Qualifications required

GCSE passes in Maths and English. Ideally grade C or above.
