Summary

Brent Council are currently looking for a Public Service Operational Delivery Officer Level 3 Apprentice who will work in the Corporate Complaints team to assist in doing administration work for the corporate complaints service.

This apprenticeship is a great opportunity for individuals who are starting out on their work life journey at the age of 16 or you may be considering changing a career for a different working life.

There is no age limit on an apprenticeship and this role will give you hands-on experience in an Election Services environment within Local Government. You will be part of a great team and assist in the delivery of a quality service within the council.

The role and responsibilities

  • This would be monitoring a customer facing email mail box
  • Providing administration for meetings involving external and internal people
  • Recording new complaints online
  • Online filing to relevant folder
  • Apprentices must achieve by the end of their apprenticeship: Level 2 Award in Operational Delivery (Principles) Level 3 Certificate in Operation Delivery (Advanced)

Skills and experience

  • The successful candidate will need good organisational skills, attention to detail, as well as good time management skills.
  • Keen to learn, you will demonstrate good communication skills, and understanding of good customer service.
  • You will need to show your interest in local government and the delivery of public services.
  • We will also be looking for a flexible and positive approach to work.
  • Apprentices without Level 2 English and Maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their Apprenticeship.
  • Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
