Crisis Priority Neighbourhood Employment Support Programme

This service is aimed at residents in Harlesden, Stonebridge and Church End who need support to gain employment and are claiming benefits.

The service aims to support residents into work by helping them to:

  • Feel more confident about themselves and their abilities
  • Learn vital new everyday skills including managing time and finances
  • Take part in free training courses in IT; health and safety, food safety reading, writing and maths
  • Get opportunities for volunteering and work experience
  • Access to full-time and part-time employment
  • Help to stay in work and get a better job
  • Get a certificate for each unit completed

Who is eligible?

Residents of Harlesden, Stonebridge, Church End who are claiming benefits and face significant barriers to work, including the following:

  • affected by homelessness
  • risk of homelessness
  • mental ill health
  • substance misuse issues
  • low skills
  • literacy / language barriers
  • long-term unemployment
  • ex-offending
  • newcomers to the area
