Housing Management service background
On 2 October 2017, the housing management services for council tenants and leaseholders was brought back in-house after being managed by Brent Housing Partnership for many years. Our purpose is to provide residents with high quality homes, manage properties, create great places that people are proud to call home
Our housing activity includes:
- providing, managing and maintaining the council’s housing stock
- helping tenants and leaseholders sustain their contract with the Council
- Maintain housing estates
- bringing empty homes into use
However, providing homes is not enough in itself – it’s also important that the communities people live in are balanced and sustainable. To help with this we consult widely with residents through a wide range of resident involvement initiatives.
The Housing Management Service also provides management services to the Council’s two housing companies; First Wave Housing and Investment for Brent Holdings.
We work with a number of partner agencies including other housing providers, health and social care providers, local charities and advice agencies to deliver our key aims.
We also have one permanent gypsy/traveller site in the Borough of Brent - the Lynton Close travellers site. The site consists of 32 pitches.
