Brent Council must ensure gas fittings and flues are maintained in a safe condition
The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 enabled landlords to have the annual gas safety check carried out any time from 10 to 12 calendar months after the previous check but still retain the original deadline date as if the check had been carried out exactly 12 months after the previous check.
As a Landlord this is our legal obligation to carry out the Gas Safety Check
As a tenant, you have an obligation to let us in to your property to carry out the Gas Safety Check and any works needed to make your home gas safe. This is a requirement under your tenancy agreement
Report a gas repair
All gas heating calls are dealt with by Brent Council's contractor partners Oakray Heating.
To report gas repairs you must call the Council's Housing Management Customer Response Team on 020 8937 2400 and you will be presented with an option for selecting gas heating.
You can also report a gas heating repair directly to Oakray Heating via email on email@example.com
Gas safety checks
Brent Council must make sure that gas appliances, flues and fittings we provide for our tenants' use are safe. We carry out a safety check once a year. This is our legal duty as a landlord.
As a tenant, you must let us in to your property to do the check and any work needed to make your home gas safe. This is a requirement under your tenancy agreement.
