Brent’s Building Control Team supports its many customers (home and business owners, agents, contractors and developers) in creating safe, sustainable, efficient and accessible buildings.
Working collaboratively with clients the team can provide you with expert guidance on building regulations compliance, whether your project is small or large, residential or commercial, an alteration, extension or new-build development, we can help bring your project to a successful conclusion.
Locally based surveyors and structural engineers have extensive, borough-wide knowledge of ground conditions and drainage arrangements and unique access to historic building records.
Our surveyors offer proactive, practical help and guidance - particularly useful at pre-application stage.
We will work with you throughout the process and, through our relationship with the Fire Service, Water Authority and colleagues in Planning and Licensing, we believe your passage through the development process will be smooth, successful and cost effective.
We have a major projects team with extensive experience dealing with major developments including mixed-use commercial developments, high volume housing schemes, schools, community buildings, offices, shopping centres, student accommodation and Wembley National Stadium.
We also have a district team dealing with the full range of residential developments, and small/medium sized commercial projects and associated building control functions including investigation of reported dangerous structures, notification of demolition and solicitors enquiries.
Both teams are multi-disciplined, commercially aware, well qualified and possess a wealth of technical and practical knowledge often working on innovative and complex designed buildings.
We offer partnership arrangements enabling us to deal with projects nationwide. A national service – delivered locally through the Partner Authority Scheme working in conjunction with other local authority building control services. Cross boundary working is also an option in some instances using the LDSA Memorandum of Understanding.
