Local Land Charges Register and searches

Table 1 - CON29 2016 individual question fee under EIR

The Local Land Charges Team is here to provide you important information held by the council about properties and land within the borough that is of interest to potential buyers.

For example, you can find out if there are any outstanding financial charges, planning obligations and notices against a property, the property is in a conservation area, there are trees within the boundary which need to be preserved or road and building work is proposed.

A local authority search can help to protect potential purchasers by letting them know if there are any restrictions, agreements or proposals which may affect the property or land they are buying.

We would advise you to seek legal advice when buying or selling a property. You, your solicitor or an agent can carry out a search.

DX facilities are not available.
