Community Clean Ups and Skips

We’re working with communities around Brent to take on unsightly litter and illegal rubbish dumps.

Will you take a stand with us and show your area some love?

Brent's Neighbourhood Managers organise a rolling programme of Community Clean-Ups, in partnership with local resident groups and Veolia.

Join local people like you and get involved with an upcoming Community Clean-Up.

We can arrange for litter picking equipment, gloves and bin bags to be ready at the meeting point, as well as for someone to collect the bags afterwards.

Keep an eye on this page for more updates.

Community Skips

Community skips are back with a twist this year. Instead of a skip, items that can’t be reused or recycled will be loaded into a refuge truck to be compacted.

All items that can be reused or recycled will be collected by a caged vehicle and repurposed where possible.

All 21 wards in Brent will have a community truck this summer. Local residents can drop off up to five bulky items free of charge, with proof of a Brent address.

The community skip will be in your area on the dates below at either 10-12 (morning) or 2-4 (afternoon).

Guidelines

  • Five bulky items or five black bags per household.
  • Please maintain social distancing.
  • Always check the website 24 hrs prior to attending for possible changes of location or cancellation due to weather
  • BRENT RESIDENTS ONLY. Please show ID as proof of residence
  • STRICTLY NO TRADE WASTE. No Trade vehicles/vans

If you can’t make one of the dates or have more than five items you can book the special collection service or book a slot and take your rubbish to Abbey Road recycling centre.
