Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)

Responsibility for the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) is placed on the manufacturer and retailer.

If you have unwanted WEEE you can take it to the retailers that are part of the 'take back scheme'.

They can also make arrangements to collect items from you. Companies are required to process the collected waste in an environmentally-friendly manner, either by ecological disposal or by reusing.

Where else can I take WEEE?

You can take household WEEE to the Abbey Road Reuse and Recycling Centre or use our special bulky items waste collection service. Please note: This is not for commercial businesses/schools/and anyone with a commercial waste collection.

Sometimes special WEEE events are held around Brent. Details will be added to our event calendar when one is happening.

Recycling computers

Mac and PC equipment (towers/laptops) can be taken away by us in a special collection. You can book a collection online.

What household WEEE can I take to the Reuse and Recycling Centre?

Please note: This is not for commercial businesses/schools/and anyone with a commercial waste collection.
