Update your nationality on the electoral register
You can only vote in UK Parliamentary Elections if you are:
- a British citizen
- a qualifying Commonwealth citizen (including Cyprus and Malta)
- from Ireland
Please note: EU citizens (who are not Citizens of the Republic of Ireland, Cyprus or Malta) are not able to vote in UK Parliament elections.
You can check the nationality we hold for you on the electoral register by emailing us at email@example.com.
If you have recently changed your nationality and need this amended on the electoral register, please either:
- Send a copy of the photo page of your passport or Certificate of Naturalisation, along with your name and address to Electoral Services, London Borough of Brent, Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley HA9 0FJ or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
- Complete a new application to register to vote
The deadline for any amendments to your nationality to enable you to vote in the UK Parliamentary Election on 12 December is 26 November.
