Brent Council Local Elections 2022

The Brent Council elections will take place on Thursday 5 May 2022. Voters in the borough will choose who they want to represent them as their ward councillors.

Changes to wards and number of councillors

In 2019, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) carried out a review of Brent’s electoral arrangements.

Under the new arrangements, there will be six fewer councillors and one more ward than at the last local election.

Almost all wards have changed their boundaries. View the new wards and the number of councillors representing each.

Your polling station may also have changed as a result of these changes. Make sure you check your poll card when you receive it in the post to find out where to go to vote.

The different ways you can vote

To take part in this election, you must be registered to vote by Thursday 14 April 2022.

You can choose to vote in person, by post or by proxy. Find out the different ways you can vote here.

The deadlines to register for a new postal or proxy vote are:

• The deadline to register for a new postal vote is 5pm on Tuesday 19 April 2022
• The deadline to register for a new proxy vote is 5pm on Tuesday 26 April 2022.
