Brent Environmental Network

Reaching Brent’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2030 will take everyone – we all need to work together.

The Brent Environmental Network is a network of local residents, businesses, community groups and schools. It’s free to sign up and anyone can join. You just have to live, work or operate in Brent.

As part of the Brent Environmental Network, you'll receive a monthly newsletter packed with ideas and practical tips for reducing your environmental impact, as well as inspiring stories from local people who are taking on the climate emergency. You will also get links to support and resources for turning your idea for a community project into a reality, such as grants and funding opportunities.

We’ll also make sure that you get information tailored to you. For example, if you’re a business, we’ll send occasional updates and advice on ways businesses can take environmental action.

Help decide how to spend £500k on carbon reduction projects!

Brent Council is looking for 25 people join a community ‘planning group’. This group will design and shape the application process for deciding how a pot of money for making buildings more environmentally friendly, the “Brent Carbon Offset Fund”, should be spent.

You don’t need to know anything about carbon or budgeting - all members of the group will receive training and expert support, as well as £150 for attending all the sessions. Find out more: https://www.mutualgain.org/brent-climate-emergency-planning-group-invitation/
