Our Love Where You Live campaign aims to make it easier for residents to work with the council as it strives to make the borough a cleaner, greener and better place to live.

Love Where You Live grants have been bringing communities together for the last 3 years. From kid-friendly street parties to coffee mornings to help the elderly or isolated, these grants of up to £500 offer local people the chance to make a difference in their neighbourhood.

For a limited time, we also have additional Love Where You Live grant funding available for:

The Brent Great Get Together

The deadline for applications is 11 June 2019

Who can apply?

Grants are available for all residents, community groups and schools who have an idea to improve the environment, tackle social isolation or help to build better community relations.

Applicants must be over the age of 16, living in Brent and able to demonstrate support from their neighbours for their proposed project.

How much you can apply for?

Each applicant can apply for a grant of up to £500 for their chosen project. Applications can be submitted at any time during the year, and are limited to one submission per year, in order to allow support for a wide range of projects across the borough.

What to do next?

To apply for a Love Where You Live grant, fill in a quick and easy application form. Applications are reviewed once a month and you will be informed when a decision has been made.

Once you have received confirmation, you will need to let us know when and where your activity will take place in advance. You should also use the Love where you live logo on any promotional material you produce for your project.

If you have any further questions please contact Partnership and Engagement on 020 8937 1234 or email voluntarysector@brent.gov.uk.

And finally...

Please remember to itemise all costs. Tell us what you want us to pay for and how much it costs. Get quotes where possible. Breakdown cost into components e.g. rather than the cost of an outing, tell us how you will get there and what else will be included, what are transport costs, for example 20 train tickets at £5 each = £100, what else will be provided? Lunch for 20 people at £4.50 per head = £90. Publicity for the event 50 flyers and 5 big posters = £25. Total cost of project = £215.
