Council buildings

The current challenges that we are all facing with coronavirus (COVID-19), mean that we have to take sensible decisions based on official guidance, and what we feel is the right thing to do for our residents, staff and councillors.

With this in mind, we have made the decision to close some council buildings to protect the safety and wellbeing of staff and residents, and to promote social distancing as per the Government’s current advice.

Customer Service Centre & Brent Hubs

The Customer Service Centre in Brent Civic Centre and all four Brent Hubs are currently closed. This is to protect the safety and wellbeing of staff and residents in line with the Government’s current advice.

Remember you can log into your My Account where you can manage your payments, apply for benefit and support claims, tell us if your circumstances have changed and access a range of other council services, and this is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

If you do need to speak to someone, the telephone Contact Centre is still open as normal from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Call us on 020 8937 1234

Or if you are someone that requires additional support or are having issues with things such as serious debt, welfare benefits or need access to food bank vouchers, the Brent Hubs team can be contacted directly on 0208 937 6792

Libraries and Brent Museums and Archives

Brent Libraries are closed while we review our procedures to ensure the safety of staff, residents and the wider community following the announcement of a new national lockdown. This page will be updated with information about available services shortly.

The Willesden Gallery, Brent Museum and Exhibition Space at the Library at Willesden Green are currently closed.

Brent Museum and Archives also has exhibitions, school resources and access to the museum, archive and photography library online for everyone to enjoy.

Leisure Centres

All Leisure Centres in the borough will be closed from Thursday 5 November 2020. These are Bridge Park Community Leisure Centre, Vale Farm Sports Centre and Willesden Sports Centre.

Unfortunately, the Outdoor Gym sessions, Our Parks sessions and Walks programme will also not be going ahead.

There are still ways you keep up your fitness even while you are at home. Visit our website for some ideas on how to stay active.
