Libraries, museum and archives
Brent libraries will remain open for collection of reserved items, to return books and DVDs and for pre-booked essential PC use only. Book a library PC. PC use is self-service only.Limited numbers of people will be allowed to enter the library at a time.
To support library users during this time, all items currently out on loan have been automatically renewed until Wednesday 2 December 2020.
Residents are encouraged to continue using the e-Library to access thousands of e-books, e-magazines, newspapers and other digital resources from the comfort of their own home. Visit Brent’s e–Library. We have a free programme of online events running this autumn and winter.
Brent Museum and Archives also has exhibitions, school resources and access to the museum, archive and photography library online for everyone to enjoy.
Joining the library
For new library members, registering for a library account online with immediate access to digital content just became easier. Join a library online.
Once registered, you will be given a reference number in this format: UNREG123456789 with pin number you chose. This number will make sure you can immediately start enjoying online resources.
Reserve an item for collection
To reserve an item for collection either contact the library helpline on 020 8937 3400 (Monday to Friday from 10am-5pm) or email Brent Libraries.
Items can also be reserved by downloading ‘My Library App’ or by searching the online catalogue.
Collecting your item
A limited number of people will be allowed to enter the library at a time. Social distancing measures will be in place and library visitors will be asked to wear a face covering.
Visitors will be asked to complete a Track and Trace questionnaire, which is essential for the safety of all visitors and staff. By completing it, you’re helping us to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and safe lives. This is mandatory and you may be asked to leave if you refuse to fill it in.
