If you have recently lost your job, are at risk of being made redundant or are self-employed and concerned about the effects of Coronavirus (Covid-19), then Brent’s Rapid Employment Service may be able to help.
It has been set up specifically to help Brent residents affected by the impact of Coronavirus and can offer a range of online or telephone services that can offer support, training and advice to help get you back into work.
Financial advice and support
If you need financial support due to a change in your circumstances, you may be entitled to some of the financial packages put in place by the Government.
Finding, applying for and getting a new job
Our Brent Works service can offer practical advice and help with:
- writing or updating your Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- completing application forms
- interview practice.
You can also access job vacancies and apprenticeship opportunities in Brent, across various sectors.
To access this service you must be:
- a resident in the borough of Brent
- not in work or in insecure work.
Retrain or learn new skills
You can improve your prospects and develop new skills for the workplace with our adult education and training provider, Brent Start. There is a wide range of short course available that will give you the skills you need and help you stand out from the crowd.
