EU Settlement Scheme

The UK left the EU on 31 January 2020.

For EU nationals who plan to continue living and working in the UK the Government has introduced the EU settlement scheme. European residents who successfully register through the system will the keep the rights they have at the moment.

We are one of the Local Authorities providing identity document scanning for those applying to the EU Settlement Scheme.

You must not start your application before you attend your appointment.

This service is available to resident EU citizens with a valid EU passport, and to their non-EU citizen family members with a biometric residence card issued by the UK.

If you do not have access to an Android device with near field communication (NFC), you can make an appointment to bring your passport or biometric residence card to us, where it can be scanned and verified for you.
