We want you to get involved and have your say about the future of St Raph’s. Upcoming events, workshops and training sessions will give you a chance to get to know the architects and influence the future options for the estate. Please come along to as many as you can.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE: Henderson House is currently closed until further notice, in line with the government's latest advice, to protect your health and wellbeing. You can still contact your Community Engagement Officer Mohamoud by ringing or texting him on 07776 665 226.

Design Code Workshops

A Design Code is a document that sets out rules for the quality of design for a new development. It is one of the best ways of achieving consistent quality design in large developments, as it provides assurance that whatever is built - homes, community spaces and more - will be to the level of quality set in the Design Code.

Your Design Code for Future St Raph's will be based on your ideas and feedback, together with the latest national and local standards for good design. Together with the Resident Charter, the Design Code will make sure that your priorities are at the heart of the Future St Raph’s.

UPDATE: You can now have you say in the development of the Design Code for Future St Raph's. Complete the online questionnaire by Friday 24 July 2020.

Working with St Raphael’s Voice

In June and July 2020 your appointed architect, Karakusevic Carson Architects, will hold three workshops and a feedback session, all done virtually using MS Teams, with St Raphael’s Voice. Each workshop will cover things like community spaces, building materials and parking. The outcomes will be recorded and published online so you can see what they’ve talked about.

Working with you

The starting point for each virtual workshop will be the views collected from the hundreds of conversations and feedback forms from residents who have attended the previous workshops.

After the virtual workshops are complete, we will:

  • Publish a video and transcript of the presentations online, which you can translate into different languages. We will also share it by email and on the ‘Future of St Raphael’s’ Facebook Group.

  • Send every household a summary of the Design Code presentations, and a questionnaire, during the week commencing 6 July 2020, so you can have your say in the development of the Code. You can return it by dropping it at Henderson House, in Henderson Close, within two weeks, or we can do it with you by phone if you prefer.

  • You can also complete the questionnaire online

The deadline for completing the questionnaire is Friday 24 July 2020.

Have a question, or need help to complete the questionnaire?

Please get in touch with your Community Engagement Officer, Mohamoud Ibrahim. Call or send a message to 07776 665226 or email straphs@brent.gov.uk

Please also contact Mohamoud if you would like to have a copy of the Design Code workshops transcript sent to you in an alternative language.
