Food Growing and Allotments Strategy
The strategy was produced following a comprehensive consultation process and sets out a clear vision, objectives and action plan for food growing and allotment provision in Brent.
The scope of the strategy unites food growing and allotment provision.
It covers all 22 allotment sites under our land management i.e. the 21 sites managed directly by us and a self-managed site at Old Kenton Lane.
There are currently 49 independent food growing spaces in the borough that run on a communal basis with a group of people sharing a space.
Considerations for improved sustainability and biodiversity are also covered in the strategy.
