The school

The role

  • Undertake detailed and specialist assessments of the need of pupils to support their learning

  • To complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under and agreed system of supervision. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals, classes or groups of pupils or on a short-term basis for whole classes.

  • Adjust learning activities and teaching programmes to take account of pupil needs and responses

  • Establish productive working relationship with pupils, acting as a role-model and setting challenging expectations and provide feedback to pupils on their progress, development and achievement

  • Ideal for those with HLTA qualification of equivalent

  • CPD training

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent

  • Someone who is passionate about teaching and learning and is able to work with others to develop their practice

  • Someone who understands our children and how we impact on their future

  • Is an outstanding practitioner

  • Someone who is motivated and can motivate others

  • Someone who is keen to take on new ideas and opportunities
