The school

 

We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to join our vibrant and welcoming primary special school. As part of the Brent Specialist Academy Trust, Manor School provides an Ofsted-judged ‘Outstanding’ specialist learning environment for pupils with a wide range of special needs and we have a clear and strong vision ‘love, learn, laugh’ which we achieve through creating a positive, engaging environment where pupils effectively learn.

 

 

The role

At present the Trust operates across two sites - this permanent position offers opportunities for progression and further training.

The post would suit experienced candidates and those with the ambition to grow as the Trust develops.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a clean, safe and secure environment.

Other duties include assisting and supporting the Site Manager with:

  • buildings and grounds maintenance
  • cleaning
  • supervision of contractors
  • health and safety of the site
  • site security
  • lettings (including weekends and evenings as agreed)

The person

The ideal applicant will:

  • be able to demonstrate good DIY skills
  • have good communication skills
  • have good customer care skills
  • be a positive and energetic member of our high performing team
  • be adaptable and proactive
