The role

Mitchell Brook is looking to recruit high quality staff for September 2019. We are looking for experienced class teachers who are genuinely passionate about teaching in our school and who would complement our excellent team of dedicated staff; who promote high expectations for all.   • Skills in effective communication, both written and oral to a range of audiences

    Knowledge

  • Experience and understanding of organising, promoting and evaluating the children’s learning

  • Expertise and knowledge of formative assessment practice and other assessment strategies

  • Understanding of good classroom management and how to promote this

  • Understanding of how to safeguard children

  • Understanding how pupils with special educational needs may be integrated in the classroom

  • Understanding and experience of working with children with different stages of language acquisition

  • Understanding of our diverse school community.

     

    Experience 

  • First Degree and PGCE or B Ed/B.A. (with QTS) or QRS via employment based route

  • Training in and experience of primary teaching
