How we spend your money

Valuation bands

Council tax is related to the valuation of your property.

Each property has been valued by the Valuation Office Agency which is part of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), not Brent Council.

There are eight bands, these reflect the market value of your property as at 1 April 1991.

How much you council tax you pay will depend upon which council tax band your property is in. You can see what band your property is in and the amount of council tax you need to pay in My Account.
