BetterCare Support is Brent's free, accessible online social care self-assessment tool. It helps you understand your care needs and connects you to the right services, resources, and advice—quickly and easily.

Take an assessment online

BetterCare is designed to help you understand what level of care you need (if any). As you move through the assessment, it:

• helps you explore your current support needs
• provides personalised suggestions and resources
• offers step-by-step guidance and helpful videos
• signposts you to services
• allows you to self-refer to Brent’s Adult Social Care team for a full assessment, if needed.

While it can lead to a better understanding of individual needs it does not guarantee that you will be eligible for social care support.

How to start your assessment

1. Register for a BetterCare Support account on our secure portal
2. Log in and begin your self-assessment
3. You will be guided through a series of short animations. 
4. Answer questions about your health, support, and current situation
5. Receive tailored information, advice, and potential next steps

You are in control throughout the process and can work through the areas that you feel you need support with.

Need more help

Once you have your assessment report you can send it to us and ask for a member of our Adult Social Care team to contact you. They will talk to you about the report and find out more about your situation. Based on the conversation you have, they may consider you for a full care needs assessment.
