Most adult social care services are chargeable, including homecare, residential and nursing homes, day services, and equipment.
How much you pay will depend on your financial assessment.
When and how you’ll be charged
If your care services are provided by the council, and you receive direct payments, you’ll receive a bill every 4 to 5 weeks, based on the services provided during that period. For example, if you get both homecare and day services, these will be included on the monthly invoice.
You are billed in arrears, meaning you pay for the care you’ve already received.
How to pay
We offer several ways to pay for your care.
