Brent’s Good Work Standard is part of the borough’s commitment to making Brent a better place to work and do business. The scheme has been designed to support employers to contribute to a fairer and more inclusive Brent.
Since August 2021, Brent Council has worked on developing a council led campaign to promote the principles of a Good Work Standard (GWS). Businesses in Brent will be encouraged to promote four key pillars that are important to businesses, organisations, and employers:
- London Living Wage
- workplace wellbeing
- skills and progression
- diversity and recruitment
The campaign is in collaboration with Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). FSB is the UK’s leading membership organisation for small businesses and the self-employed, campaigning on behalf of 5.5 million small business owners since 1974. FSB membership gives you access to market-leading business services and tools. It includes 24/7 legal and employment advice, on-demand legal documents and templates, tax investigation insurance, local support, networking and so much more.
