Brent’s Good Work Standard is part of the borough’s commitment to making Brent a better place to work and do business. The scheme has been designed to support employers to contribute to a fairer and more inclusive Brent.
Since August 2021, Brent Council has worked on developing a council led campaign to promote the principles of a Good Work Standard (GWS). Businesses in Brent will be encouraged to promote four key pillars that are important to businesses, organisations, and employers:
- London Living Wage
- workplace wellbeing
- skills and progression
- diversity and recruitment
The campaign is in collaboration with Federation of Small Businesses (FSB). FSB are experts in business, they offer members a wide range of vital business services including advice, financial expertise, support. The organisation is a powerful voice heard in government and whose mission is to help smaller businesses achieve their ambitions.
