Neasden is a key town centre in the London Borough of Brent. It has been identified in Brent’s Local Plan for long-term regeneration and investment.

Background
The Neasden Civic Partnership Programme (NCPP) is a regeneration project funded by the Greater London Authority, working in partnership with Brent Council. It aims to improve and transform Neasden town centre.
NCPP is part of the Mayor of London’s Civic Partnership Programme, which supports regeneration in five areas across London. The programme focuses on:
- Improving public spaces
- Involving local communities in shaping change
- Tackling climate and environmental challenges
- Addressing long-standing inequalities
Neasden is expected to see major growth over the next 15–20 years, with the population of the Neasden Stations Growth Area set to almost double. This programme helps prepare the area for that growth while also addressing existing social, economic and environmental issues. Neasden is also identified as an Air Quality Focus Area.
In 2023, Brent was selected as one of 12 boroughs to receive initial funding to develop plans for regeneration, working closely with local residents and businesses.
Neasden Sustainability and Placemaking Action Plan
Between late 2023 and early 2024, Brent Council and project partners worked with residents, businesses, schools and community groups to develop a Sustainability and Placemaking Action Plan for Neasden town centre.
This plan formed the basis of a successful funding bid. In August 2024, Neasden was selected as one of five areas across London to receive further funding from the Mayor to deliver improvements.
What the programme will deliver
The NCPP focuses on Neasden Town Centre (also known locally as Neasden Shopping Centre). It will improve connections between communities and support future development through three main projects:

- New crossings, lighting and street furniture
- Better access to The Grange and improved routes to the station and future growth area
Wider benefits
The programme will also support:
