Staples Corner transport connectivity

Staples Corner is currently not well connected to surrounding rail and underground transport infrastructure. The nearest railway stations are Hendon and Cricklewood, offering connections via Thameslink trains to Kings Cross station within 25 minutes (Hendon) and 20 minutes (Cricklewood).

The nearest underground stations are Northern Line services from Hendon Central (30 minutes) and Brent Cross (25 minutes) to Kings Cross station, and Jubilee Line services from Neasden (25 minutes) to Waterloo station.

Brent Cross West Thameslink

This has now changed and Staples Corner has benefitted from the new Brent Cross West Thameslink Station providing a new link into central London, increasing the Public Transport Accessibility Level (PTAL) in the immediate area, and supporting regeneration and housing delivery.

West London Orbital line

Proposals for the West London Orbital line set out in the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, which will stop at that station, would also connect growth areas and rail interchanges across west London, and link Brent Cross West station to HS2 at Old Oak Common.

The opening of the Thameslink Brent Cross West station and proposed creation of a West London Orbital passenger route on the Dudding Hill freight line will significantly improve public transport accessibility in the vicinity of Staples Corner.
