Harrow Mencap provides local services and direct support to over 500 people with learning disabilities every year, from childhood through to older age. The charity works with people who have mild, through to profound learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
Services include:
- day centres
- personal care
- home support such as cooking and cleaning
- summer activity schemes for 18 to 25-year-olds
- supported breaks
- football, after school, Saturday and holiday clubs
- advice and information to help young people keep fit, manage finances, look for work, start a course or access housing
- support for carers.
