Girls Win uses sport to help young women with a disability aged 16 to 25 set short, medium and long-term goals. It empowers them to think positively about how goal setting can develop their prospects for the future and engages them in activities that keep the body and mind healthy.
Free weekly sessions combine a range of sports and physical activity with goal setting workshops, peer support group discussions and physical challenges that aim to increase confidence and independence, expand friendship networks and reduce social isolation of young women with a disability.
The programme, which delivers sessions for girls and young women across London, also runs a range of other free opportunities including trips, residentials, festivals, apprenticeships and work experience.
