Green Works Brent is a free scheme that gives people with learning difficulties or disabilities the opportunity to grow herbs and vegetables on an allotment in Wembley and take part in small woodwork projects. Participants are able to gain experience in horticulture and develop skills that will enable them to take up other work placements or paid employment.
The project is run by Toucan Employment In partnership with Brent Mind.
Toucan Employment is a non-profit organisation which has over 30 years’ experience helping people with learning difficulties, disabilities and autism to find and retain appropriate supported employment in Brent and other London boroughs.
