Resources for Autism is a charity that provides practical services for children and adults with an autistic spectrum condition.
A wide range of support is offered by the charity’s trained staff, all of whom are autism specialists who understand communication and sensory needs.
Services are delivered from the charity’s base in Barnet, as well as other venues throughout London. Some are free and for others there is a charge, but subsidised places are always available depending on individual circumstances. Provision includes:
- Specialist behaviour support service
- Individual care packages
- Sibling groups
- Music and art therapy
- Play and youth groups for 8 – 19 year olds
- Holiday play schemes for 8 – 19 year olds
- Reach out home support
- Specialist groups for people with a diagnosis of autism aged 19 and above
Services can be accessed via an application form on the charity’s website or by telephone. Self referrals and referrals from other agencies are welcome. Resources for Autism can also provide specific, tailor-made services to schools, nurseries, councils and health authorities.
