SAM is a free mental health app designed to help people manage anxiety and other emotional challenges. It was developed by the University of the West of England and is now licensed to Mind Garden Technology CIC.
SAM offers a range of tools and features based on proven psychological techniques to support mental wellbeing, such as:
- Self-Help Toolkit - includes guided exercises, videos, and interactive tools to help users cope with anxiety and stress.
- Mood Tracking - users can monitor their mood, identify triggers, and track changes over time to better understand their mental health.
- Community Support - the “Social Cloud” feature lets users connect with others, share experiences, and offer support in a safe, non-judgemental space.
The app is available to download on both the App Store and on Google Play.
