The London Wheelchair Rugby Club (LWRC) is based at the Aspire National Training Centre in Stanmore and caters for young people and adults aged 16 and over with a spinal cord injury or physical disability/upper limb disability.
The club aims to provide disabled people with social and competitive opportunities through wheelchair rugby, and there are a number of different teams to ensure that suitable levels of competition are provided for its diverse range of players.
LWRC is a premiership wheelchair rugby club champion, national league champion and four times European club champion. It is the only full contact wheelchair sport in the Paralympics and both male and female athletes play on the same teams.
