Good mental health helps children and young people cope with everyday life.
Children and young people can face different challenges as they grow. These may be personal, school‑related, social or physical. Sometimes, children and families may need extra support.
Brent Council works with the NHS and community organisations to help families get the right support at the right time.
When your child or young person might need support
Your child may need support if they are:
- feeling anxious or low
- struggling with friendships or behaviour
- finding school stressful
- finding it hard to cope with change or challenges
Getting support early can help prevent problems from becoming more serious.
