Parent Factor is an eight-session, evidence-informed programme that helps parents build their understanding of ADHD, strengthen day-to-day parenting strategies, and feel more confident in supporting their child at home and in school. It is a practical and supportive offer, giving parents space to reflect, learn alongside others, and take away approaches they can begin using straight away.
Across the programme, parents are supported to:
- develop a clear and accessible understanding of ADHD and available treatments
- reflect on the additional demands of parenting a child with ADHD
- explore different parenting styles and approaches
- strengthen communication and positive reinforcement strategies
- understand the link between feelings and behaviour
- build their knowledge of the education system and their child’s rights within it
- consider how attention and responses can shape behaviour over time
- review progress, celebrate achievements, and reflect on learning
The programme will start on Monday 14 September 2026 and will be delivered online between 6pm and 8pm.
For parents of children aged up to 16 years.
