Brent Dolphin’s Swimming Club runs ‘swimmable’ lessons at Vale Farm Sports Centre for children aged over five with a physical disability who have been referred by a physiotherapist.
The aim is to teach the children to swim so they can join the club’s mainstream swimming groups when they are ready. All abilities are catered for, from complete beginners to children who are more confident in the water.
Lessons are held at Vale Farm every Sunday for either 30 or 60 minutes and run for 12 weeks during the school term.
Please note that parents or guardians of children under eight years old must stay on site at the sports centre during the lessons.
The 12-week course costs £35, plus an annual membership fee to join Brent Dolphins which is renewed yearly and registers the child with Swim England.
