Election of Borough Councillors

1. An election is to be held for the following Wards:

2. Forms of nomination may be obtained, during normal office hours, from the Returning Officer at the address shown below.

3. Completed nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer at the address shown below, on any working day after the date of this notice, between 10am and 5pm but not later than 4pm on Thursday 9 April 2026.

4. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday 7 May 2026, between the hours of 7am and 10pm.

5. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Monday 20 April 2026. Applications can be made online on GOV.UK.

6. New applications to vote by post or postal proxy or amendments or cancellations of existing postal, proxy and postal proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 21 April 2026. Applications to vote by post and to vote by proxy, can be made online.

7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026. Applications can be made online on GOV.UK.

8. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Tuesday 28 April 2026.

9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity; for work/service reasons; or photo ID is lost/ stolen/ damaged/ or voter ID not received, must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 7 May 2026.
