Monitoring the air quality in Brent allows us to understand where pollution is worst, and which actions are most effective at reducing it.

Air quality monitoring locations across Brent
To keep track of pollution in the borough, we currently operate a monitoring network made up of four automatic monitoring stations and diffusion tubes across 45 locations. We use these to keep track of nitrogen dioxide, PM2.5 and PM10.
All four of the automatic stations monitor NO2 and PM10. Two of the monitors also monitor PM2.5. The 45 diffusion tube locations monitor NO2 only. This map shows the location of all active continuous monitoring stations and NO2 diffusion tubes across Brent.
