Brent Parent Carer Forum is sharing information about new ideas for schools and SEND. These ideas were shared by the government on 23 February 2026.
These are only proposals. Nothing is changing yet and children’s rights stay the same. Families can share their views until 11:59pm on 18 May 2026, as part of a 12 week consultation.
Brent Parent Carer Forum will explain the proposals, listen to local families, create simple answers and work with partners to send feedback. Families can also share their own views.
Support and reassurance will be given throughout. The key message is that no changes are happening yet. Online and in‑person sessions will be taking place in Brent from April to May.
